Description

This is a contemporary painting that is full of reach and bright colors. You can see a fairy town with elements of European cityscape and very special types of balconies in Georgian towns. The pomegranate tree with a girl catching the sun sitting on top of one of the pomegranates is an ancient, and remarkable symbol in both traditions that is mentioned in the Bible several times. Growing pomegranates in ancient towns symbolized their wealth, and joy. In Georgian cultural tradition, the pomegranate is a symbol of hospitality, love, and boundless respect for guests. Pomegranates, and tree trunk are very bright, and partially transparent. Under the sunlight or normal room illumination, a beautiful reflection attracts an attention creating a unique visual effect. The painting is full of details showing figures of people and animals.
